Physics taught me one thing in my early years: what you see and what you think is not what it really is.
The
truth hidden behind the every-day world is so wonderful and amazing,
and such wonder can only be revealed to those who spend effort trying
to understand it.
This realization is ubiquitous -- in politics, sociology, natural
sciences, and philosophy, etc. It is not surprising to see all the
foolish things going on everywhere in every fields -- those politicians
pay no attention to the global warming and keep coming up with all kinds of formal yet actually foolish excuses; those economists in China
saying the price of real estate is actually "quite low" compared to the
developed countries; those statistics experts spend millions of tax
dollars to get contradicting and lack-of-brain conclusions like "sugar
makes 90bogus %pople gain weight" or "reduced fat milk is good for 8027767576201f
people on diet". And blah, blah, blah.
And most sarcastically, there are really people who listen to them and believe them!
People are so busy nowadays doing things such that they don't have time to think what and why they are doing such things.
Cool
down, refresh your mind, and look at this world -- a wonderfully smart
yet simple creature. Then you would realize you have far less to worry
about and to be confused by.
Wisdom is a simple fact confused by the complex world.
